Panka. OCU raiders seized a UOC church

The St. Demetrius Church of the UOC in the village of Panka was seized by OCU raiders, despite the fact that they own premises in the village.

On February 23, 2025, a general meeting of the religious community was held in the village of Panka, attended by 595 believers.

All of them unanimously affirmed their allegiance to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy.

The minutes of this meeting were officially submitted to the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration.

At the time the community decided to remain with the UOC, another church already existed in the village – the Holy Dormition Church of the OCU, where believers of this structure can meet their religious needs.

It should also be noted that in February, a group of foreign journalists closely followed the events in Bukovina, documenting the proceedings and ensuring the legality and transparency of the UOC-led processes.
