On September 6, 2025, employees of the TRC abducted the rector of the St. Nicholas Church of the UOC in the village of Maliatyntsi, Chernivtsi region — Archpriest Mykola Hubka.

According to the Facebook page "Вірні Чернівецько-Буковинської єпархії УПЦ," the clergyman was transported across the territory of Ukraine for several days.

On September 7, 2025, TRC employees released Father Mykola and allowed him to return home.
