🔴On February 3, 2026, in the village of Horodyletsʼ, Volyn Oblast, employees of the TCC detained the rector of the UOC church "Life-Giving Spring," Archpriest Ioann Chiryk.

The clergyman was seized near his place of residence by individuals allegedly affiliated with the TCC, without presenting any documents and without an official explanation of the grounds for detention.

According to eyewitness accounts, after the detention, Archpriest Ioann was taken away in an unknown direction. Information about his whereabouts and legal status was unavailable at the time of publication.

🔴On February 4, 2026, photographs of the priest in military uniform appeared in online communities, which parishioners interpreted as evidence of his forcible mobilization.

As a result of what occurred, the religious community was left without a rector and without the ability to fully conduct church services and Sacraments.
