September 2, 2025
On September 2, 2025, employees of the TRC abducted a cleric of the Pokrovsky Church of the UOC in the village of Piskiv, Rivne Oblast — Archpriest Alexander Soltis.
Journalist Valentyna Ilyina reports that the clergyman first underwent a Military Medical Commission (MMC) examination in Kostopil district, where he was deemed "limitedly fit for service" due to heart problems.
However, he later came to the attention of the Varash TRC.
The priest was held at a Rivne training ground for approximately one week.
On September 7, 2025, Father Alexander was able to call his wife, informing her that he had been transferred to Kirovohrad Oblast.
After that, he was out of contact for an extended period.
On September 10, 2025, late in the evening, the priest's wife was contacted by a person who reported that Father Alexander, along with other clergymen, was being held in harsh conditions and subjected to psychological pressure.
