OCU cleric, Boyarsky dean of the Kyiv diocese of the OCU

OCU cleric Vasyl Lilo is one of the main church raiders responsible for the seizure of UOC churches in the Kyiv region.

Lilo actively collaborates with representatives of local administrations involved in anti-church campaigns. Furthermore, the OCU cleric assists and advises in organizing the falsification of documents for religious communities.

Lilo personally participated in several assaults on Orthodox churches.

On August 21, 2022, a meeting of residents of the village of Tarasovka (which belongs to the Boyarsky amalgamated territorial community) was held, at which they decided to transfer the Church of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary to the the OCU.

At that time, more than 300 believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church prayed in front of the church, which had been closed by the authorities.

Lilo personally participated in organizing the illegal gathering.

On May 6, 2023, Vasil Lilo took direct part in the raider seizure of the St. Michael's Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Boyarka.

Along with armed militants from the local Volunteer Corps and government officials, the OCU cleric entered the church grounds. Video footage captured Lilo giving commands to the criminal group attacking the church's clergy.

On September 5, 2023, supporters of the OCU seized the Church of Sts. Boris and Gleb of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Vyshgorod.

A group of raiders, using a hammer and chisel, broke down the doors of the UOC church. However, as can be seen in the video, the police did not interfere with their illegal actions.

Vasily Lilo took part in the raid on the church.

On the morning of September 7, 2024, a group of church raiders from the OCU entered the grounds of the Intercession Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Boyarka, Kyiv Oblast.

They blocked all entrances to the church and broke the locks.

The local Volunteer Formation of the Territorial Community (VFTO) provided forceful support to the criminals, and the seizure was led by representatives of the OCU, led by Vasyl Lilo.
