Officer of the Security Service of Ukraine Directorate in Cherkasy Oblast

According to information from believers and clergy of the Cherkasy Diocese of the UOC, Serhii Slabko heads the department of the regional SBU responsible for religious affairs.

According to numerous sources, Slabko personally participates in the raider seizures of churches in Cherkasy Oblast.

Moreover, the SBU officer exploits his official position to exert pressure on the entire law enforcement and judicial apparatus.

Slabko personally attends court hearings in which criminal cases opened against UOC clergy and believers are examined.

On May 30, 2024, at around midnight, a group of people in military uniforms invaded the grounds of the UOC Church of the Savior Not Made by Human Hands in the city of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi.

A group of raiders seized the church.

According to sources of the "DOZOR on the First Cossack" project, the seizure of the church was directed personally by Serhii Slabko.

On November 4, 2025, right outside the courthouse, officers of the TCC detained Ihor Holubchyk, the lawyer of the Cherkasy Diocese of the UOC.

According to the "DOZOR on the First Cossack" project, the mobilization of the diocese's defense counsel took place on direct orders from Slabko.

The human rights defender was detained by the same officers who had attempted to unlawfully detain a cleric of the Cherkasy Diocese, Father Roman Harkavenko, and the head of the diocesan Legal Department in February 2025.
